With the expansion of Stärke-AMG Alliance both locally and internationally and our increased focus on the growth of the business, we have been looking to appoint a full-time Chief Financial Officer to support our current and future expansion.
We are delighted to announce Tabitha McFarlane as our new CFO for the Stärke-Advanced Manufacturing Group. Tabitha is a Chartered Accountant and Manager with almost 30 years of experience in accounting, business strategy, and taxation, and a genuine passion for working collaboratively with teams.
Having studied Chemistry at Oxford, she transitioned to becoming a Chartered Accountant with Deloittes in London. After 5 years at Deloittes, Tabitha met her Australian husband and spent some happy years in Scotland and Ireland raising a family and had the opportunity to study the 12-week certificate course at Ballymaloe Cookery School in County Cork, Ireland. Cooking for family and friends remains one of Tabitha’s favorite pastimes.
After moving to Australia, Tabitha has worked for Flinders University, Mark Byrne & Associates in Orange, Inventure Partners, and One Advisory here in Adelaide. Tabitha has taken a holistic approach to assist her clients with the financial and taxation affairs and has had a particular interest in the R & D Tax Incentive and EMDG grants program. She assisted clients by working as a virtual CFO, gaining valuable experience she can now draw upon. In her last role as a senior manager, she worked closely with the owners of the business and nurtured the growth and development of the more junior members of staff. Tabitha prides herself on being a great team leader and sharing her knowledge and experience.
Tabitha is also studying to be a yoga teacher and is keen to ensure that well-being at work remains in focus. Yoga has so many benefits to assist in bringing back balance to our lives and Tabitha is excited to share this with those around her. As the proud mother of 3 beautiful children, and owner of 3 much-loved dogs, Tabitha is well-versed in the virtues of making the most of each and every day and finds that the serenity that yoga brings translates into a calm and level-headed approach to the challenges that life and work can bring.
